You can use this “Christian Political Commitment” as a free resource in your church, ministry, or small group. Adapted from my new book, The Party Crasher, this non-partisan commitment gives clear biblical guidelines for a Christian posture in the season ahead.
Our church developed this 10-point commitment during the last election season to highlight how our allegiance to Jesus should shape our political engagement. This was not about what opinions to hold but rather how to hold them well.
People signed on in droves. The commitment helped create clarity around God’s expectations for our character. It shaped political discussions in ways that preserved relationships that otherwise would have been fraught or maybe even destroyed.
